The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Hammer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The Hammer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Drexzel moves in looking to clinch but The Hammer pushes him off.
Drexzel shoots for a double leg takedown but The Hammer sprawls well. He's pushed Drexzel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mycheal The Hammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Hammer cracks Drexzel with a right hand to the side of the head.
The Hammer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

The Hammer scores with a three punch combo!
Drexzel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The Hammer as he avoids it easily.
The Hammer stuffs the takedown attempt from Drexzel. Drexzel gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drexzel Drexzel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The Hammer misses with a wild combination.
Drexzel shoots in but The Hammer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Drexzel. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
The Hammer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Drexzel is breathing heavily.
Drexzel dives in and grabs The Hammer's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Hammer pushes down on Drexzel's head and hops out.

Drexzel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The Hammer tries to clinch but Drexzel is having none of it.
The Hammer connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Drexzel tumbling to the canvas! The Hammer pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Drexzel was done - good stoppage!
