The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barca avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hyabusa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Barca throws a lazy right hand but Hyabusa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hyabusa looks for the body kick but Barca saw that one coming.

Barca looks to throw the jab but Hyabusa is out of range.
Hyabusa avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Barca digs a good body shot into Hyabusa's ribs.
Barca fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hyabusa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hyabusa misses with a series of wild punches.
Barca cracks Hyabusa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Hyabusa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barca.
Ryu Hyabusa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Hyabusa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hyabusa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barca.

Barca throws the left hand but Hyabusa avoids the punch easily.

Barca clobbers Hyabusa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hyabusa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Barca bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hyabusa's head backwards.
Hyabusa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barca circles away quickly and effectively.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hyabusa.
Barca scores with a shot to the body.
Hyabusa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hyabusa slips a jab and a cross from Barca.
Hyabusa lands with a nice combination. Barca backs away looking to recover.
Hyabusa misses with a few strikes there.
A combination from Barca does no damage.
Barca's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Barca duly obliges.
Left hook, right uppercut from Hyabusa.
Barca lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hyabusa circles away quickly and effectively.
Barca lands a slapping body shot.
Hyabusa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barca sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hyabusa somewhat.
Hyabusa fails with an attempt to clinch.

Barca cracks Hyabusa with a good jab.
Hyabusa falls off balance throwing a combination
and Barca counters with a three punch combo that has Hyabusa backing up. Hyabusa nods at Barca to acknowledge the strikes.
Hyabusa looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barca tries to bum rush Hyabusa with a series of wild strikes but Hyabusa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Barca lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hyabusa at a distance.
Hyabusa is still on wobbly legs! Can Barca finish him?
Hyabusa switches off momentarily and Barca cracks him with a monster right hand! Hyabusa topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Barca dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Barca!
