Rincon comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - Roll It Up, Light It Up, Smoke It Up . Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rincon tries to clinch but Fodder moves out of range.
Rincon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fodder shoots in for a takedown but Rincon shows good takedown defense.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fodder with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Rincon is controlling an arm, preventing Fodder from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Rincon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fodder moves away.
Rincon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rincon thows a body shot but no joy.
Fodder defending well as Rincon loads up on a big left hand.

Rincon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rincon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rincon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rincon looks to land a left hand but Fodder moved out of range nicely.

Fodder shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fodder lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Fodder is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rincon!
Fodder has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
