Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett McConomy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConomy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tyler paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McConomy lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Jake Tyler has been cut.
McConomy pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Tyler pushes McConomy up against the cage in a clinch.

McConomy has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tyler has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McConomy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tyler is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tyler and McConomy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

McConomy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McConomy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McConomy looks gassed!

McConomy goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Tyler rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McConomy's guard! Nice work there by Tyler!

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Tyler will probably get the nod.

McConomy is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tyler is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McConomy to the mat. McConomy regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

McConomy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tyler is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McConomy, into his guard.
