Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bart Griffin!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin checks a leg kick.
Griffin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Watson tries to avoid it but Griffin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Watson to the ground. Watson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Watson tries to clinch but Griffin moves out of range.
Griffin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Watson throws out the jab.
Joseph Watson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Some bone on bone action there as Griffin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Griffin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Griffin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Griffin wants to work for an arm triangle but Watson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Horrible takedown by Griffin or perhaps it was just good defense by Watson which made him look bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Watson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Watson tries to clinch up but Griffin circles away and keeps his distance.

Griffin closes the distance and clinches up with Watson, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes Watson against the cage but Watson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Watson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Griffin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Watson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Griffin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Watson decides to stand back up. Watson steps back and let's Griffin get back to his feet.
Watson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Joseph Watson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Griffin throws a hook to the side of Watson's head but Watson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Watson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Griffin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Watson counters with a head kick. That will keep Griffin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Griffin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Watson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Griffin off and has taken his back!

Griffin drops back looking for a leg! Watson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Watson manages to kick Griffin off! Griffin jumps back into Watson's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Griffin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No joy there for Griffin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Watson looks to land a body kick but Griffin moved away.
Watson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Griffin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Joseph Watson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Watson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
