The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cane sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Santos fails with the takedown.
Cane throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cane slips a jab from Santos.
Santos shoots in for a double leg but Cane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pablo Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cane cracks Santos with a big right hand and Santos goes down!

It looks like Pablo Santos has been cut.
Cane is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Santos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cane's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Santos dives in and grabs Cane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cane pushes down on Santos's head and hops out.

Still in half guard, Cane seems content to control.
Cane's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Santos wants to improve his position but Cane is controlling well.

Santos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cane pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Santos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Cane counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cane throws a jab when Santos was well out of range.
Cane cracks Santos with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
