Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manres is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kuchinta's half guard.
Kuchinta misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Kuchinta has a hand on Manres's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Manres takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Manres keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kuchinta's head.
Kuchinta lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Manres!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kuchinta is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Manres has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Manres!
