Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but van Vuuren paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!

van Vuuren gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

van Vuuren is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Olor defends well.

Olor drops back looking for a leg! van Vuuren is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and van Vuuren manages to kick Olor off! Olor jumps back into van Vuuren 's guard.
van Vuuren wants to control the position but Olor says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
van Vuuren is trying to get back to full guard.
van Vuuren is looking to control Olor's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can van Vuuren avoid being mounted?

van Vuuren is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Olor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but van Vuuren sees it coming and defends easily.
van Vuuren is trying to maintain the position but Olor is very close to passing his half guard.
Olor winds up and cracks van Vuuren with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Olor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
van Vuuren is trying to control the position but Olor postures up.

Olor is looking to work some ground and pound but van Vuuren has wrist control.

van Vuuren looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
van Vuuren looking to hit a scissor sweep but Olor is one step ahead there.

van Vuuren escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Olor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Olor lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
van Vuuren wants to stand and escape but Olor is having none of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if van Vuuren can do anything to dispel that myth.

van Vuuren has his foot on Olor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Olor works his way back into a safe position though.

van Vuuren is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

van Vuuren looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Olor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
van Vuuren is trying to control the position from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
van Vuuren is looking to regain half guard here but Olor keeps moving and retains side control.

Olor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by van Vuuren , who protects the arm well.
van Vuuren tries to buck Olor off but Olor is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
van Vuuren is trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

van Vuuren shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than van Vuuren was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
van Vuuren looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

van Vuuren is trying to improve position by moving to mount. Olor has hold of his neck though and manages to move into guard! All of a sudden, van Vuuren is in a lot of trouble! Olor is straining to finish and he's done it! van Vuuren taps out! Amazing!
