Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Sandman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Bisping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandman's entrance music is Enter Sandman. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Sandman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Bisping!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bisping fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sandman avoids the head kick by Bisping.
Bisping is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bisping tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bisping shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sandman as he avoids it easily.
Sandman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bisping.
Sandman throws a series of punches but Bisping moves out of range.
Sandman takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sandman throws a lazy right hand but Bisping sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Bisping closes the distance and clinches.
Sandman being controlled against the cage.
Sandman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Bisping is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sandman pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Sandman gets underhooks to prevent Bisping's takedown attempt.
Shawn Sandman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Bisping.

Bisping has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sandman is trying to keep an underhook but Bisping manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Sandman is looking for a sweep. Bisping is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bisping is thwarting Sandman's attempts to control the position.

Bisping prevents Sandman from improving his position.
Bisping wants to control but Sandman is keeping him busy.
Sandman trying to hold on to Bisping's head to control him but Bisping postures up.
Bisping tries to stand and escape but Sandman is controlling the position.
Bisping moves nicely into side control.
Sandman tries to improve position but can't.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sandman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bisping.
Shawn Sandman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bisping is looking to clinch.
Sandman swings for the body but Bisping moves out of range.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sandman cracks Bisping with a good jab.


It looks like Michael Bisping has been cut.
Sandman darts in and out, connecting with a jab.


Bisping is rocked!
Sandman ducks under a wild hook from Bisping.
Bisping is still on wobbly legs! Can Sandman finish him?
A looping hook to the body misses from Sandman. Bisping does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bisping seems to have recovered his senses.

Bisping closes the distance and pushes Sandman back into the cage.
Sandman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bisping.
Bisping looks gassed!

Sandman manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sandman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sandman pulls Bisping in to control the position.
Sandman keeping moving, preventing Bisping from controlling successfully.

Sandman throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Bisping trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Bisping drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sandman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bisping has Sandman in his guard.
Sandman throwing strikes from guard but Bisping blocks nicely.
Sandman trying to control the position from guard on top but Bisping is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sandman pushes down on Bisping's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sandman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sandman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bisping keeps working.
Sandman prevents Bisping from standing back up.
Sandman is trying to control. Bisping wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sandman controlling the action here.
Sandman wants to pass to mount but Bisping is defending the position.
Sandman trying to control the action but Bisping is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shawn Sandman dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Michael Bisping's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Sandman catches Bisping with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Bisping moves into the clinch successfully.

Bisping has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sandman is trying to keep an underhook but Bisping manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bisping is taking a breather. Sandman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sandman works his way to full guard. Good work.
Sandman wants to sweep but no luck.
Sandman trying to keep a closed guard but Bisping is proving a slippery customer.
Sandman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bisping won't allow Sandman to pass to mount.
Sandman trying to control the action but Bisping is working from the bottom.
Sandman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bisping is trying to maintain the position but Sandman is very close to passing his half guard.
Sandman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bisping knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bisping is trying to stand up here but Sandman is controlling him well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bisping tries to get to full guard but Sandman has control of the leg.
Bisping is breathing heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bisping wants to clinch up but Sandman keeps it at a distance.
Bisping drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sandman misses with a body shot.
Bisping bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sandman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bisping walks into a straight right hand from Sandman.
Sandman misses with a double jab
and Bisping counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sandman fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bisping on the side of the head.
A left lands for Sandman.
Bisping doesn't manage to clinch there - Sandman circles away.
Sandman scores with a punch to the head.

Bisping closes the distance and pushes Sandman back into the cage.

Bisping breaks the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sandman misses with a two punch combination.
Sandman lands with a hook. Bisping tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sandman slaps away a takedown attempt from Bisping, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bisping bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bisping looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sandman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bisping.
Bisping fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sandman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bisping on the side of the head.
Sandman lands with an uppercut that bounces Bisping off the cage and back into rage.
Sandman drops Bisping with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Bisping! Sandman dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). Shawn Sandman!
