Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Seaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Seaman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Faber!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seaman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Faber avoids it really well and circles away.

Seaman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Faber to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Faber looking to pass the guard.
Seaman pulls Faber in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Faber throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Faber is looking to advance position but Seaman has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Faber can do anything to dispel that myth.
Seaman won't let Faber get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Faber is looking to get to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Faber is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Faber tries to buck Seaman off but he can't manage it.
Faber is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Seaman controlling the position easily from mount.
Faber is working to get back to half guard.
Faber looks gassed!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Seaman controlling from mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Don Faber dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Seaman shoots and misses

and Faber counters with a shoot takedown. Seaman fights it but they end up in guard.
Faber trying to move into half guard but instead Seaman has managed to sweep!
Seaman is standing up over Faber. Faber looks to escape but Seaman dives into side control.
Seaman moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Faber is breathing heavily.
Faber wants to get back to his feet but Seaman is dominant here and he's now got Faber's back!

That's one minute gone in the round.
I would not like to be Faber right now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Seaman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Seaman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee stands the fighters back up. David Seaman just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Seaman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Faber was covering up waiting for the punch and Seaman finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Seaman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Seaman will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Seaman has his takedown stuffed

and Faber counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Seaman's guard now.
Faber is looking to advance position but Seaman has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Faber is in all sorts of trouble here.
Seaman controlling the pace for now.
Faber takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Faber is trying desperately to improve position.
Seaman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Don Faber has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

And that's the end of the fight!
Don Faber comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Faber has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
