The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Suarez displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Brandon Silva has been cut.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Suarez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
Suarez misses with a straight right.
Suarez misses with a head kick.
Suarez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Suarez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A nice combination there by Suarez.
Silva walks straight into a right hand from Suarez - that's dropped him! Suarez jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Silva from any more punishment! Silva complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
