Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between kc bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Blink 182 feat Robert Smith - All of This as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, kc bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Smith!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bones throws a one two combo.
bones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
bones looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well.
bones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
bones avoids the head kick by Smith.
bones stuns Smith with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Smith keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

bones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smith is trying to defend but bones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Smith wants to control but bones is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

bones is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Smith still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Smith has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Smith trying to control the position but bones is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
bones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
bones tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it.

Smith stands up.
Smith throws a predictable looking body shot
and bones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smith.

bones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
bones wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.
bones wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

bones has gone for a leg lock! Smith slips out almost immediately though and dives into bones's guard.
Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

bones is trying to control the position from the bottom.

bones working for a triangle but Smith defends it easily.
Smith advances to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Smith is keen to just control but bones is a slippery customer.
bones is looking for a sweep. Smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith trying to mount his opponent but bones defends it.

Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
bones wants to control but Smith passes into side.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but bones keeps working.
bones is looking for a sweep.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
bones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
bones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing bones off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for kc bones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
bones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
bones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smith misses with a body shot.
Smith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
bones darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
bones misses with a double jab.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith walks into a left hand.
bones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that kc bones will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and bones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Smith!

bones working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Smith has left one of his arms exposed and bones doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Smith screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
