The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brothers tries to close the distance and clinch but Simmons swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Simmons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Brothers moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Louis Simmons has been cut.
Simmons misses with a series of wild punches.
Brothers stuffs the takedown attempt from Simmons. Simmons gets slowly back to his feet.
Simmons throws a hook to the side of Brothers's head but Brothers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Brothers moves out of range as Simmons strikes.
The fighters circling - Simmons throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Simmons uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brothers.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brothers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Simmons stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Well Brothers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
