Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Rivet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Heartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre Rivet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Heartman!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heartman looks to land a right hand but Rivet moved out of range.
Heartman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rivet throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Heartman.
Rivet tries to clinch there but Heartman circles away.
Rivet shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Heartman defends it nicely.
Heartman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rivet's waist but Rivet gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Heartman off to one side.
Rivet scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Heartman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Heartman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rivet manages to avoid it.

Heartman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Heartman wants to control but Rivet is keeping him busy.
