Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ra Maya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nardo Putik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ra Maya has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ra Maya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nardo Putik!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maya tries to bum rush Putik with a series of wild strikes but Putik uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Maya throws a head kick but Putik moves out of range.
Maya keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maya closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Putik tries to clinch but Maya is having none of it.
Maya throws a sloppy head kick and Putik moves out of range easily.
Maya changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Putik tries to avoid it but Maya manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Putik to the ground. Putik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Maya misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maya throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Putik throws the left hand but Maya avoids the punch easily.
Maya scores with a decent looking hook.
Putik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Maya feints and as Putik raises his hands in defense, Maya changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Maya trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Maya drops back looking for a leg! Putik is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Putik manages to kick Maya off! Maya jumps back into Putik's guard.

Maya thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Maya wants to control from the top but Putik keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Maya works over Putik's head and body with a nice combination.
Maya takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Maya slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Maya avoids the head kick by Putik.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Putik is looking to clinch but Maya is avoiding it.
Putik throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Maya counters with a straight right hand.
Maya misses with the combination.
Maya scores with a jab to the head.

Maya looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Maya drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Maya seems to have locked his on tight now - Putik screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Maya, as he picks up the win!
