Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholas Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Naughty by Nature - O.P.P.. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Carlos Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nicholas Lewis!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lewis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sanchez napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lewis tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lewis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lewis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Sanchez gets back to half guard.

Sanchez holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Sanchez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lewis pulls his head out easily.
Lewis wants to take a breather but Sanchez is having none of it.

Sanchez actively working from the bottom here.
Sanchez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lewis is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lewis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez trying to hold on to Lewis's head to control him but Lewis postures up.
Sanchez wants to improve his position but Lewis is controlling well.
Lewis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Lewis wants to stand up but Sanchez manages to regain full guard.

Lewis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lewis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lewis laying and praying for a moment but Sanchez takes advantage and regains half guard.

Lewis seems to be looking for submissions.
Sanchez tries to kick Lewis off but Lewis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanchez gets full guard.
Lewis wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nicholas Lewis dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Lewis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sanchez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lewis.
Sanchez is trying to get back to full guard.

Sanchez manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Sanchez tries for a takedown but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis misses with a takedown attempt

and Sanchez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lewis's guard now.

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lewis looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sanchez has picked Lewis up and slammed him! Lewis can't keep hold of the triangle and Sanchez manages to pass to side control!

Sanchez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working.
Lewis is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Lewis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Sanchez is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lewis is trying to escape and Sanchez transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lewis is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sanchez! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carlos Sanchez!
