Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Gallager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Gallager told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Gallager!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallager misses the jab.
Newman closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Joe Gallager has been cut.
Newman misses with a double jab.
Gallager misses with a combination
and Newman counters with a two punch combo.
Eric Newman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Newman throws a nice looking combination but Gallager bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Newman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gallager takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A combination from Newman does no damage.
Newman throws a nice head kick!
Newman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gallager showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Newman.
Gallager pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Newman drops Gallager with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gallager looks back up at him and smiles so Newman waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Gallager is rocked!
Gallager shoots in but Newman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gallager is still on wobbly legs! Can Newman finish him?
Newman ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Gallager's jaw. Gallager's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Newman does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eric Newman!
