Belmont comes to the cage accompanied by Blue Flowers. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Belmont is defended easily by Reis.
Rodrigo Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Reis moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belmont on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Reis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Belmont dodges the punch combination from Reis.
Reis is looking to clinch.
A right-left combo lands from Reis.
Reis throws a series of punches but Belmont moves out of range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Reis misses with a wild body shot.
Reis lands with a nice combination. Belmont backs away looking to recover.
Reis misses with a double jab.
Reis throws a right hand that Belmont ducks under and follows up with a left that Belmont also avoids with ease.
Reis leaves Belmont with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Belmont moves out of range as Reis throws a body kick.

Reis throws a half hearted mid kick.
Belmont fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richter Belmont. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reis misses with a few strikes there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
No joy there for Reis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Belmont shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Reis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Belmont fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reis avoids it really well and circles away.
Reis throws a series of punches but Belmont moves out of range.

Belmont shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reis pinned against the cage. Reis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Belmont takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Reis is looking to clinch but Belmont is avoiding it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Belmont scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Belmont is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Belmont stops Reis from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belmont has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Belmont has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Belmont there as he acknowledges the shot.
Reis tries to clinch up.

Reis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Belmont.

Reis throws a right hand that Belmont ducks under and follows up with a left that Belmont also avoids with ease.
Reis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Belmont.

Reis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rodrigo Reis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Belmont avoids a punch combination nicely.
Belmont misses with a takedown attempt - Reis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richter Belmont. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Reis closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Reis lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reis.
Belmont shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reis sprawls well. Reis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Belmont gets slowly back to his feet.
Reis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Belmont avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Belmont looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Reis!

Rodrigo Reis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Reis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
