Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jung Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakura Nazayami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hakura Nazayami has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jung Li's chin.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li misses the jab.
Nazayami fails to land the takedown.

Li lands a big head kick that sends Nazayami tumbling to the mat! Li takes a step backwards and waves Nazayami back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Nazayami is rocked!

It looks like Hakura Nazayami has been cut.
Nazayami plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

and Nazayami counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nazayami gets control of Li's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nazayami will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Nazayami has hold of Li's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Li manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nazayami takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Li is desperately trying to improve his position but Nazayami has a good base and remains in mount.
Nazayami sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Li sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

and Nazayami counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nazayami wants to free his trapped foot but Li is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Nazayami tries for a takedown but Li sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Li wants to break the clinch but can't.
Li wants to get back to striking at distance but Nazayami won't allow it.
Li has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nazayami is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

and Nazayami counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Nazayami controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Nazayami must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Let's hope that Nazayami has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Li wants to stand and escape but Nazayami is having none of it.
Nazayami stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Li swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nazayami is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Li is looking to sweep but instead, Nazayami has passed into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Li wants to get back to his feet.

Nazayami decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Li gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Li has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nazayami off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Nazayami fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Li avoids it really well and circles away.

Despite being in the dominant position, Hakura Nazayami just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Li is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Nazayami is defending well for now.
