Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Fair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Cote will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fair slips a jab and a cross from Cote.

Fair shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Cote regains half guard.
Cote is pressing down on Fair's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fair trying to control the position from guard on top but Cote is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fair has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cote is proving hard to escape from.

Fair stands up and waves to Cote to follow him.
Cote avoids a punch combination nicely.

Cote misses with a two punch combination.

Fair shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cote's guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cote is squirming around, avoiding Fair's attempts to control the action.

A close round but Brian Cote will probably get the nod.

Cote throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fair fails with a takedown attempt.
Fair shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cote defends it nicely.

Fair gets the takedown into side control.
Cote tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fair wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Cote is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Fair misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Cote ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Fair gets to his feet - Cote follows without any prompting.

Cote is working an open guard so Fair takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Fair decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cote throws a combination that misses

and Fair counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cote's guard now.
Dwayne Fair overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fair stands and steps away. Cote gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Cote lands a jab-cross combination.

Fair shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cote napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fair has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cote gets caught flat footed, as Fair shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Cote looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Cote is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fair trying to control but Cote is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Fair decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cote, up you get!
Cote lands with a nice combination. Fair backs away looking to recover.

Fair shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fair was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fair is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cote to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cote shrugs it off.

Fair moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cote has worked his arm free - good work by Cote!
Cote gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Fair decides to stand up.
Cote rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fair moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fair shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cote manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Cote isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fair stacks Cote on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fair!
Fair creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cote sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Fair trying to control the action but Cote is working from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fair stands up.

Cote fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Cote gets caught flat footed, as Fair shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fair is looking to stand up but Cote won't let him.
Fair makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Fair avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fair pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cote is keeping the position for now.

Dwayne Fair showed his dominance in that final round.
