Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herbie Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Finn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hawkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My Sacrifice. Finn has chosen Von Bondies - C'mon c'mon as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Herbie Hawkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Finn!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finn scores with a decent looking hook.
Hawkins thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hawkins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Finn.
Finn misses the shot to the body.
Finn with a hook.
Finn takes one to the chin there.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hawkins checks a leg kick.
Finn lunges at Hawkins with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hawkins's hand.
Finn scores with a jab.

Hawkins gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Finn to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hawkins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Finn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Hawkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Finn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Finn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Finn trying to control but Hawkins is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Finn tries to free his leg and advance position but Hawkins is retaining full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Finn's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Finn throws and elbow that misses. Hawkins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Finn's guard. Nice move by Hawkins!

Hawkins has gone for a leg lock! Finn slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hawkins's guard.

Finn passes Hawkins's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hawkins wants to get back to his feet.

Finn is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hawkins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Finn.
Finn wants to advance to full mount but Hawkins doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Hawkins has momentary wrist control but Finn slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Finn wants to control from the top but Hawkins keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hawkins controls Finn momentarily but Finn frees himself.
Hawkins is looking to stand up but Finn isn't so interested in that idea.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Finn lands with a nice body punch.
Finn slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Hawkins throws out a powerful jab.
Finn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hawkins uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Finn.
Hawkins slips under a jab from Finn.
Finn gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hawkins defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Finn.
Finn lands a nice hook to Hawkins's body. Hawkins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A slow jab from Finn misses its intended target.

Hawkins decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Finn is defending against the submission attempts here by Hawkins.
Finn is trying is best to control the position here.

Hawkins is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Hawkins seems to be working for a kimura but Finn defends the submission attempt.
Hawkins is breathing heavily.

Hawkins is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Finn works his way to full guard. Good work.
Finn is pulling down on Hawkins's head. It's preventing any offense from Hawkins, at least for the moment.

Hawkins drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Finn manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hawkins has Finn in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hawkins looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Finn pushing down on Hawkins's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Well, if Finn is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Finn wants to pass to mount but Hawkins is defending the position.

Finn is keen to just control but Hawkins is a slippery customer.

Finn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Mickey Finn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Finn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
