Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Noriega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melo comes to the cage accompanied by Who let the dogs out. Melo is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melo gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Victor Melo's cut is getting worse.
Melo is breathing heavily.
Noriega works the jab nicely.
Noriega stuns Melo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Noriega connects with a body shot.
Noriega lands a nice shot that snaps Melo's head back.

Victor Melo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Noriega lunges at Melo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Melo's hand.

Noriega catches Melo napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Melo to the canvas!

Jeez, Victor Melo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
