PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tero Elo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Helsinki City Boy. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowler takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Elo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fowler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Elo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fowler is surviving well by controlling Elo's body position as best he can.

Elo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Elo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fowler is on top in guard.

Elo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fowler manages to get himself to full guard.

Elo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Elo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fowler, pushing him back against the cage.

Elo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Elo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice uppercut lands for Elo. That snapped Fowler's head back.

Tero Elo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Fowler.

Elo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fowler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Elo.

Fowler decides to stand up, so the ref orders Elo to his feet.
Fowler is breathing heavily.
Elo throws a series of strikes that have Fowler backpedaling.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A head kick from Elo lands but Fowler takes it in his stride.

Fowler closes the distance and clinches up with Elo, looking for a takedown. Fowler pushes Elo against the cage but Elo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Elo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fowler but Fowler pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Elo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fowler has time to react.
Tero Elo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Elo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fowler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
