The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes connects with a jab.
Hughes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hughes wants to clinch up but Guerrero keeps it at a distance.
Guerrero walks into a left hand.
Hughes thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hughes avoids the body shot from Guerrero.

It looks like Mark Hughes has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hughes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guerrero swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hughes tries to score with a low kick but Guerrero moves his leg out of the way.
Hughes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hughes digs a good hook to Guerrero's body.
Hughes lands with a shot to the body.

Hughes throws a sloppy body shot
and Guerrero counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Guerrero misses with a straight left.
Hughes looks to land a combination but Guerrero avoids it well.
Guerrero shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Hughes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Guerrero.
Guerrero misses with a hook to the body
and Hughes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hughes is looking to chop away at Guerrero's legs.
Hughes throws a right and a left that Guerrero avoids nicely.
Hughes cracks Guerrero with a good jab.
Mark Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hughes takes a swing at Guerrero's ribcage but misses.
A left lands for Hughes.

Guerrero gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hughes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hughes is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Guerrero throws the left hand but Hughes avoids the punch easily.
Hughes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Guerrero sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hughes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Hughes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Guerrero takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Guerrero uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hughes.
Hughes lunges at Guerrero with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Guerrero's hand.
Guerrero is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hughes, as that shot connected.
Hughes loads up on a big right hand but Guerrero slips the punch.
Hughes throws a shot from downtown. Guerrero moves away and avoids it.
Hughes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Guerrero looks gassed!
Hughes falls off balance throwing a combination
and Guerrero makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Guerrero blocks a low kick nicely.
Donk. Hughes catches Guerrero right on the button with a cross.
Hughes scores with a nice strike.

Guerrero is rocked!
Hughes cracks Guerrero with a left hook right on the temple and Guerrero goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Hughes lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Guerrero is OK!
