Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Robert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Dailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Carl Robert has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Carl Robert seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robert changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dailey tries to avoid it but Robert manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dailey to the ground. Dailey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dailey is looking to clinch but Robert is avoiding it.
Robert fails with a takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Robert tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Robert. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Robert tries for a takedown but Dailey manages to get underhooks.
Robert wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Robert tries to score a body lock takedown but Dailey shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Robert tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dailey smiles and moves away.
Carl Robert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Robert shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Robert showed some decent athleticism there.
Dailey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dailey is defending against the submission attempts here by Robert.
Dailey flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Robert moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Dailey.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dailey wants to get back to his feet but Robert drags him back down.

Robert tries to circle away but Dailey has him pinned against the cage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Robert jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dailey walks away with a smile on his face. Robert gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Robert closes the distance but Dailey moves to the side

and Dailey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dailey tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Dailey lands a knee to the head.
Dailey is pressed up against the cage. Robert has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dailey down to the mat. Dailey avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
