Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Woodrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woodrow has chosen The Lumberjack Song as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez lands a jab to Woodrow's midsection.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Woodrow counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Woodrow.

Martinez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Woodrow's hands.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Martinez fails with the takedown

Martinez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Woodrow on the ground.
Martinez is looking to improve his position but Woodrow isn't that keen on the idea.

Woodrow has hold of Martinez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Martinez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Woodrow has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Martinez's face.
