The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaldo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jaldo closes the distance and clinches up with The Spider, looking for a takedown. Jaldo pushes The Spider against the cage but The Spider circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The Spider is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jaldo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Spider tries to avoid it but Jaldo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Spider to the ground. The Spider escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jaldo wants to pass the guard but The Spider is defending well.
Jaldo prevents The Spider from standing back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The Spider won't allow Jaldo to pass to mount.
