Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Koji Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Brokholc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Koji Kobayashi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Koji Kobayashi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brokholc tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kobayashi tightens his grip and picks Brokholc up, before dumping him to the ground. Brokholc manages to land in guard.

Brokholc had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kobayashi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brokholc Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kobayashi's back instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brokholc is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kobayashi is defending well though. Brokholc let's go of the attempt for now.

You can see the frustration on Kobayashi's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Kobayashi throws and elbow that misses. Brokholc uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kobayashi's guard. Nice move by Brokholc!

Brokholc thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Brokholc looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kobayashi! Submission of the night perhaps?
