The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a head kick that misses.

Ryan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Schmitt swats him away and circles back towards the center.

No joy there for Schmitt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Schmitt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
