The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roederer misses with a two punch combination.

Boss has Roederer up against the cage in a clinch.
Roederer takes a shot to the head.
Boss lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Roederer has Boss pressed against the cage, preventing Boss from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Boss can't find room to land a body shot as Roederer controls the action.

Boss's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Roederer shoots in for a double leg but Boss sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Boss blocks a leg kick.
Boss lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Boss just misses with a punch to the body.

Boss is breathing heavily.

Roederer drops Boss with a left and a right! Oh, Boss is hurt - Roederer dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Boxing Boss has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Roederer throws an elbow but Boss slips to the side and avoids it well.

Boss is looking to regain half guard here but Roederer keeps moving and retains side control.

Roederer closes the distance and clinches up with Boss, looking for a takedown. Roederer pushes Boss against the cage but Boss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Roederer and Boss goes tumbling to the canvas! Roederer follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Boss is rocked!
Roederer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Boss's head.
Oh Boss is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Boss parries the strikes from Roederer easily there. Roederer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Boss to escape.

Roederer shoots for a double leg takedown but Boss sprawls well. He's pushed Roederer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Boxing Boss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Roederer.
Roederer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Roederer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boss swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Roederer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boss.
Roederer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Roederer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boss as he jumps to the side.
Boss lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Roederer circles away quickly and effectively.
Roederer cracks Boss with a right hand to the side of the head.
Roederer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Roederer slips under a jab.
Boss takes one to the chin there.
Roederer has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Roederer tries to work over Boss's front leg with a kick but Boss checks it.
Boss misses with a straight right.
Boss swings away with a body shot that misses
and Roederer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice shot lands for Roederer.
Boxing Boss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
