The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jitsu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Houseman but Houseman pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Houseman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with jitsu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

jitsu throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Houseman escapes and throws jitsu's legs to the side, diving into side control!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Houseman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics jitsu uses from the top position.
Houseman wants to sweep here but jitsu controlling him for the moment.

jitsu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and jitsu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

jitsu postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Houseman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of jitsu, into his guard.
