The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maivia stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Munechika.
Munechika moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Maivia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Munechika as he jumps to the side.
Nice uppercut lands for Munechika. That snapped Maivia's head back.
Munechika lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Kendall Maivia has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maivia misses with a takedown attempt - Munechika sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Munechika cracks Maivia with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Maivia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Munechika pinned against the cage. Munechika gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendall Maivia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maivia tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Maivia. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Munechika lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Maivia leaves his chin hanging out and Munechika seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Maivia crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
