Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cornelius Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dewey Cox!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox throws a sloppy head kick and Jacobs moves out of range easily.

Cox is looking to clinch but Jacobs is avoiding it.
Cox throws a series of punches but Jacobs moves out of range.
Cox lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jacobs circles away quickly and effectively.

Cox gets the takedown into side control.
Cox tries to score with some ground and pound. Jacobs controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Jacobs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jacobs.

Jacobs has control of Cox's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cox regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jacobs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cox's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Cox really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacobs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jacobs is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cox has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jacobs swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cox is now in Jacobs's guard. A big mistake from Jacobs there, giving up the dominant position!

Jacobs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cox can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
