PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mors Olle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olle's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, enter sandman. On his way into the cage it seems that Mors Olle has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mors Olle seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pounder tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Olle was well out of range. Poor timing from Pounder.

Olle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Olle trying to control the position but Pounder is working away.
Pounder wants to control but Olle postures up.
Olle wants to control but Pounder is keeping him busy.
Olle misses with the ground and pound.
Olle slows the pace down.
Pounder looks gassed!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Olle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Olle sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Pounder is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Olle is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pounder is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pounder parries the strikes from Olle easily there. Olle is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pounder to escape.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Olle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pounder, pushing him back against the cage.

Olle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pounder pulls his leg out and moves away.
Olle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pounder's waist but Pounder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Olle off to one side.

Pounder gets caught flat footed, as Olle shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Olle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Olle wants to control from the top but Pounder keeps moving.
Olle looking to sit in guard and control but Pounder gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Olle doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Olle tries to close the distance and clinch but Pounder swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
