The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diaz de Vivar as he avoids it easily.
Nice body punch from Diaz de Vivar.
Cook closes the distance and clinches.
Cook misses with a body punch.
Cook tries to break the clinch but Diaz de Vivar is controlling the position.
Cook is trying to break free.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Diaz de Vivar.
Diaz de Vivar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick from Diaz de Vivar lands but Cook takes it in his stride.
It looks like Will Cook has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diaz de Vivar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cook sprawls well. Cook wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diaz de Vivar gets slowly back to his feet.
Diaz de Vivar moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Will Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz de Vivar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cook, pushing him back against the cage.

Cook tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Diaz de Vivar manages to pull guard.
Diaz de Vivar tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Diaz de Vivar keeping moving, preventing Cook from controlling successfully.

Cook is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Diaz de Vivar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Diaz de Vivar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cook manages to get himself to full guard.

Diaz de Vivar gets to his feet. Cook looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Diaz de Vivar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cook throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Diaz de Vivar counters with a good low kick that Cook was not able to check.
Cook is breathing heavily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz de Vivar.
Will Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar.
Cook misses with a double jab
and Diaz de Vivar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cook's guard now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz de Vivar wants to control from the top but Cook keeps moving.

Diaz de Vivar decides to stand back up. Diaz de Vivar steps back and let's Cook get back to his feet.
Cook is looking to clinch.
Diaz de Vivar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cook's waist but Cook gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz de Vivar off to one side.
A nice combination there by Diaz de Vivar.
Cook throws a series of punches but Diaz de Vivar avoids them all with ease.
Diaz de Vivar lands with a nice body punch.
Diaz de Vivar lands a big head kick that sends Cook tumbling to the mat! Diaz de Vivar takes a step backwards and waves Cook back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Will Cook's cut is getting worse.

Diaz de Vivar lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Cook crumples to the floor! Diaz de Vivar milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
