Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Harmonic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Lawal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawal is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lil Wayne Drop the world. Phil Harmonic could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rashad Lawal's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lawal shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harmonic napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Harmonic throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Harmonic gets back to half guard.

Harmonic kicks off Lawal and gets to his feet.

Harmonic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Harmonic not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Harmonic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lawal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Harmonic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lawal's guard.

Harmonic sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lawal's guard.

Lawal goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Harmonic closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Lawal doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Harmonic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lawal's guard now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Harmonic controls the position.

Harmonic wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lawal, who protects the arm well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harmonic decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lawal to his feet.

Lawal throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Harmonic shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lawal's guard.

Lawal is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Harmonic has control of Lawal's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lawal regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rashad Lawal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Harmonic breaks from Lawal's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harmonic, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
