Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Coen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Coen looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hawkins takes one to the chin there.
Coen is looking to clinch.

Hawkins has closed the distance and engaged Coen in a clinch.

It looks like Johnny Hawkins has been cut.

Hawkins is stalling here. Coen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hawkins seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Coen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Coen rushes Hawkins and presses him up against the cage.

Coen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hawkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Coen is fending him off so far but Hawkins persists. Nope, Coen circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Coen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawkins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

so Hawkins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coen has his hands on Hawkins's head, controlling the position.
Hawkins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

I would just about give that final round to Johnny Hawkins.
I think Hawkins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
