Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Don Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daton Everlast!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everlast ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Slice throws a lazy right hand but Everlast sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Slice looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nice cross by Everlast.
Slice cracks Everlast with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Everlast tries to clinch there but Slice circles away.
Slice walks into a left hand.
Slice throws a nice looking combination but Everlast bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Slice is trying hard to land a takedown here. Everlast sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Everlast drops his hands momentarily and Slice takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Everlast throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Everlast fails with an attempt to clinch.
Everlast uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Slice.
Everlast slips a jab and a cross from Slice.

Everlast swings away with a body shot that misses
and Slice counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Slice throws a shot from downtown. Everlast moves away and avoids it.
Everlast tries to clinch but Slice moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Slice throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slice throws a right hand that Everlast ducks under and follows up with a left that Everlast also avoids with ease.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Everlast scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Slice doesn't seem bothered though.
Slice throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slice dives in and grabs Everlast's left leg, looking for a takedown. Everlast pushes down on Slice's head and hops out.
Danga de danga de dang - Slice scores with a four punch combination!
Don Slice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Slice throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Slice misses with the combination.
Slice dives in and grabs Everlast's left leg, looking for a takedown. Everlast pushes down on Slice's head and hops out.

Slice connects with a single shot there.

Slice shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Everlast manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Slice drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Slice jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Everlast has his foot on Slice's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slice works his way back into a safe position though.

Slice drops back looking for a leg! Everlast is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Everlast manages to kick Slice off! Slice jumps back into Everlast's guard.

Slice stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Everlast swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Slice swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Slice misses with a looping left.
Everlast slips a straight right by Slice.

Everlast has Slice up against the cage in a clinch.
Everlast taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Everlast tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Slice.
Everlast has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Everlast misses with a punch on the inside.
With the fighters up against the cage, Slice throws an elbow but misses.

Slice throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Everlasts head.

Everlast lands with a short shot to the head.
Everlast throws a punch but it's blocked by Slice.

Slice is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Everlast can't fight it off and eventually Slice manages to take the fight to the floor. Everlast looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Everlast is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Slice postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Everlast is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Slice, into his guard.

Everlast got a little sloppy there for a moment and Slice has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Everlast has managed to get both his arms back between Slice's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Slice is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Slice lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Everlast circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Slice smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Slice throws a series of punches but Everlast avoids them all with ease.

Daton Everlast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Everlast has managed to clinch.

Slice gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Everlast regains guard.

Everlast had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Slice defends it easily.
Everlast looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Everlast is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Everlast tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Everlast takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Everlast is on top in guard.

Slice throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Everlast escapes and throws Slice's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Slice throws a series of punches but Everlast avoids them all with ease.

Slice paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Everlast drops his hands momentarily and Slice takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Slice goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Don Slice.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Slice, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
