The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller shoots in and drives through. AlHaddin sprawls well.
Miller misses with an uppercut.
AlHaddin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Miller sprawls well initially but AlHaddin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Miller is defending against the submission attempts here by AlHaddin.
AlHaddin wants to work for an arm triangle but Miller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
AlHaddin is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Miller seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
AlHaddin is trying to land a reversal but Miller doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle.
