Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tray paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Optimus Prime is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tray paul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Optimus Prime!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prime uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by paul.
Prime avoids the head kick by paul.
paul tries to clinch up but Prime circles away and keeps his distance.
paul dives in and grabs Prime's left leg, looking for a takedown. Prime pushes down on paul's head and hops out.
paul shoots in for a double leg but Prime sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
paul tries to clinch but Prime is having none of it.
Prime shoots in but no luck this time.
paul doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Prime decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in paul's guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tray paul. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Prime looking to pass the guard.
Prime is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Prime stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. paul swivels though and keeps the full guard.

paul manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Prime is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
paul is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
paul tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Prime counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Prime.
Prime wants to pass the guard but paul is keeping the position.
paul is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Prime passes paul's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Prime wants to work for an arm triangle but paul is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Prime tries to pass the half guard into mount. paul knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prime looks gassed!
Prime is working for a kimura but paul is defending it quite comfortably.
Prime is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and paul defends it well.
paul wants to get back to full guard.
Prime stops paul from getting back to his feet.

paul has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Prime is working away from the top position though.
paul pushes Prime off looking to stand but Prime dives back in and keeps control.
Prime is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
paul trying to control from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
paul fails with the takedown
so Prime counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Prime advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Prime advances nicely into full mount.
Prime is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, paul has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Prime has control of paul's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and paul regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Prime is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but paul is surviving well by controlling Prime's body position as best he can.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Prime working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Optimus Prime dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Prime sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed paul's guard.

Prime passes the guard and advances to mount!
Prime working for a guillotine from mount but paul is in no mood to give up.
Prime looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Prime wants to finish this one by submission but paul is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Prime.
paul regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
paul wants to improve his position but Prime is controlling well.
paul trying to control but Prime postures up.
Prime has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can paul defend it? Prime steps over the head and cranks it - paul is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Prime!
