PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Te Guruma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Stump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guruma comes into the arena with A Tear In The Open blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, George Stump!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stump tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guruma swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Guruma changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stump tries to avoid it but Guruma manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stump to the ground. Stump escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Guruma closes the distance but Stump moves to the side

and Stump counters with a nice double leg into side control. Guruma won't be happy with that.
Guruma is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Stump tries to advance to mount but can't.

Stump has an Americana. Guruma didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Stump is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Stump hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
