Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kerry Woods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenny Yoho!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoho looks for a takedown but Woods sprawls well.

Woods closes the distance and clinches.

Woods breaks from the clinch.
Yoho takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Yoho circles away from the clinch attempt.
Yoho swings away with a body shot that misses
and Woods counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Woods wants to clinch.
Yoho wants to clinch but Woods slips to the side

and Woods decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yoho's guard.

Woods is looking to work some ground and pound but Yoho has wrist control.

Yoho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Woods doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Woods manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kenny Yoho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yoho fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Woods sprawls well initially but Yoho persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Yoho defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Woods.

Yoho wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Woods has him pressed against the cage.

Woods's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Yoho throws a low kick but it's checked well by Woods.
Woods scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Yoho doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Woods makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kerry Woods has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Yoho.

Woods moves into the clinch.

Woods escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Woods counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Woods has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Yoho uses from the top position.

Woods pushes Yoho off and scrambles back to his feet.

Woods ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Woods no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Woods throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yoho's waist but Yoho gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Woods off to one side.

Yoho fails with the takedown.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Woods tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yoho paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Yoho shoots in for a takedown but Woods shows good takedown defense.

Woods shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Woods showed some decent athleticism there.
Woods really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Woods is nestled in close to Yoho, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Woods with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Woods pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Yoho is trying desperately to improve position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Woods is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Yoho can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Woods prevents Yoho from getting the reversal.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Woods breaks from Yoho's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Yoho tries to lock up and control but Woods gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
