The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunkski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aoki moves away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Crunkski throws a series of punches but Aoki moves out of range.
Crunkski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Crunkski throws a right hand that Aoki ducks under and follows up with a left that Aoki also avoids with ease.

Aoki clinches up with Crunkski and pushes him back against the cage.
Aoki keeps control of Crunkski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Crunkski wants to get back to striking at distance but Aoki won't allow it.
Aoki could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Crunkski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Crunkski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Crunkski tries to close the distance and clinch but Aoki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mike Crunkski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Aoki.
Crunkski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Aoki moves out of range of the strikes.
No joy there for Crunkski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crunkski tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crunkski to the ground. Crunkski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Crunkski takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Crunkski moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Hiro Aoki has been cut.
Aoki needs to keep his hands up - Crunkski had a free shot at his head there.

Aoki is rocked!
Crunkski is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Aoki flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Aoki is out cold! Crunkski holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
