Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between TJ Lavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Svenderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, TJ Lavin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Svenderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Lavin is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.

Lavin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.

Lavin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Silva passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lavin tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lavin keeps working.
Lavin is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva tries to clinch up but Lavin circles away and keeps his distance.
A telegraphed right hand from Lavin misses the target.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A slapping body kick lands there for Silva.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Lavin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.
Silva wants to control from the top but Lavin keeps moving.
Silva looking to pass the guard.

Lavin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.

Lavin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lavin's guard.
Lavin wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.

Lavin is refusing to be controlled, as Silva sits in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Silva stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Svenderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Silva walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Silva plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Silva throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lavin's head.


It looks like TJ Lavin has been cut.

Lavin keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva tries to clinch up.

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.

Lavin working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Silva wants to control from the top but Lavin keeps moving.

Lavin looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.

Lavin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lavin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silva is trying to control. Lavin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lavin is looking to escape.
Lavin is looking to get to half guard.
Lavin is controlling an arm, preventing Silva from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Lavin is trying desperately to improve position.
Lavin is trying to reverse the position but instead Silva has taken his back - oops!
Lavin turns into Silva and is now in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Svenderson Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Silva wants to pass the guard but Lavin is keeping the position.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Lavin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lavin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva!

Lavin quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Lavin but it's paid off an Silva is forced to tap! Nice work by Lavin.
