Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hal Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and a tope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying tope's choice of entrance music: Apaga mas nao bate. Hal Jordan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hal Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, a tope!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jordan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and tope has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from tope and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
tope shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jordan as he avoids it easily.
Jordan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and tope decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jordan's guard.
tope slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jordan tries to buck tope off but tope is having none of it.
tope is trying to get an arm triangle but Jordan is defending well.
tope working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jordan throws tope to one side and escapes!
Jordan moves into the clinch successfully.

Jordan makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Jordan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jordan goes for an armbar but tope turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from tope.

tope drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jordan dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jordan gets to his feet - tope follows without any prompting.
Jordan connects with a looping right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jordan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jordan lands in his opponent's guard.

Jordan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but tope is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
tope manages to get back to half guard.

Jordan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
tope is refusing to be controlled, as Jordan sits in half guard.
Jordan seems to be working for a kimura but tope defends the submission attempt.

Jordan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows tope to get to his feet.
Jordan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jordan tries for a takedown but tope circles away easily
and tope counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hal Jordan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

tope stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jordan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
tope thows a big elbow that misses.
tope landing with the ground and pound.
Jordan wants to stand but tope is controlling the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jordan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. tope gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
tope passes Jordan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
a tope showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
A head kick from Jordan lands but tope takes it in his stride.

and Jordan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jordan stands up over tope, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jordan wanted to stand there but tope had control of the position.
Jordan passes tope's left leg - he's now in half guard.

so tope counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
tope has gone for a leg lock! Jordan slips out almost immediately though and dives into tope's guard.
Jordan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jordan tries to score a power double leg takedown but tope sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jordan somewhat.
Jordan throws a sloppy head kick and tope moves out of range easily.

and Jordan counters with a single leg into guard. tope didn't expect that.

Jordan gets to his feet - tope follows without any prompting.

tope scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

tope is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
