The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Russell.
Russell is looking to land body kicks.
Jack Russell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Russell lands a big head kick that sends Smith tumbling to the mat! Russell takes a step backwards and waves Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like David Smith has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Russell.
Russell cracks a nice hook into Smith's ribs.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith switches off momentarily and Russell cracks him with a monster right hand! Smith topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Russell dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Russell!
