Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, jason Wayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Grace!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Wayne misses.
Grace shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wayne napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Grace is looking to take a break and control but Wayne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wayne wants to get back to his feet.
Wayne is trying to control Grace's posture but Grace avoids it.
Grace scores with a couple of short elbows.
Grace works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Grace tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Wayne wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grace keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wayne throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Grace sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Grace wants to clinch up but Wayne keeps it at a distance.
Grace throws a body punch but Wayne moves out of range.

Grace looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Wayne moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

and Grace counters with a head kick.
Wayne doesn't manage to clinch there - Grace circles away.
Grace clinches up with Wayne and pushes him back against the cage.

Wayne is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Grace must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wayne had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grace defends it easily.
Grace is looking to work some ground and pound but Wayne has wrist control.

Wayne has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grace can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wayne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Grace is controlling him.
Grace postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wayne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grace moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wayne closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grace can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Grace wants to get back to his feet.
Wayne stands up out of the half guard.
Danny Grace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Grace tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wayne paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Grace misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Grace tries to bum rush Wayne with a series of wild strikes but Wayne uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Grace gets caught flat footed, as Wayne shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Wayne will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

and Grace holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Wayne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wayne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grace sprawls well. Grace wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wayne gets slowly back to his feet.
Wayne tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grace swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Grace is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Wayne stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Grace misses with a two punch combination.

Grace avoids the head kick by Wayne.
Wayne changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grace tries to avoid it but Wayne manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grace to the ground. Grace escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Grace shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grace showed some decent athleticism there.
Grace tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Wayne.

and Wayne decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Grace's guard.

Grace is looking to stand up but Wayne isn't so interested in that idea.

Grace can't keep his opponent in guard - Wayne advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Well, if Wayne is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Grace is staying active underneath Wayne, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Grace is trying to maintain the position but Wayne is very close to passing his half guard.
