The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross stuffs the takedown attempt from Velasquez. Velasquez gets slowly back to his feet.

Cross looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Velasquez has picked Cross up and slammed him! Cross can't keep hold of the triangle and Velasquez manages to pass to side control!

Velasquez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Cross is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Velasquez yanks on the arm and Cross is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Velasquez.
