Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Mata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Montagu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Luigi Mata has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Montagu is pulling down on Mata's head. It's preventing any offense from Mata, at least for the moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Montagu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mata's guard.

Mata is working an open guard so Montagu takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Montagu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Montagu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mata swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Montagu is pushing down on Mata's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mata is fighting to maintain full guard but Montagu has managed to sneak the leg through.

Montagu lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mata on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Montagu is nestled in close to Mata, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Montagu wants to control but Mata is keeping him busy.

Montagu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mata sees it coming and defends easily.

Mata takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Montagu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Montagu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Montagu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mata, who protects the arm well.

Montagu has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Montagu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mata is looking to escape.

Montagu is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Mata is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Mata flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Montagu anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Mata and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Montagu slips an arm under Mata chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Montagu has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Montagu is squeezing on Mata like an anaconda would it's prey. Mata fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
