Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ritchie Palace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnathon Gibbons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palace rushes Gibbons and presses him up against the cage.
Palace breaks the clinch.
Gibbons shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Palace pinned against the cage. Palace gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gibbons is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Palace.
Palace clinches.
Gibbons decides to pull guard.
Palace slips nicely into half guard.
Palace passes to full mount!
Gibbons tries to hold on but Palace pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gibbons shoots and misses
and Palace moves into the clinch.

Gibbons is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Palace has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Palace!

Palace feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ritchie Palace will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Gibbons has hold of Palace's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Palace tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gibbons cranks the arm and Palace screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Palace, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
